Brenna's passion for horses began as soon as she could talk. By age 12 she was eagerly participating in Snohomish County 4H, learning the foundations for good horsemanship through both english and western equitation and pleasure classes as well as halter and trail classes. Brenna's first horse that she leased was an enthusiastic off-the-track thoroughbred who benefitted from something to focus on while competing. Both Brenna and the horse quickly fell in love with dressage- the beautiful combination of structure and attention to detail yet fluidity and harmony. Shortly after, Brenna transitioned into solely riding dressage, training with USDF Gold medalist Lisa Eagley for three years and competing successfully as a Jr/YR until she left Washington to pursue a degree in Health Sciences at Carroll College in Helena, MT. While in Montana, Brenna continued to pursue riding as often as she could despite her busy schedule. During a gap year, Brenna returned to Washington and began leasing and competing with a gelding bred by Pamela Pentz of Derby Farms. There, Pam who is both a retired Grand Prix rider as well as USDF R judge, saw Brenna's gift for encouraging horses to correctly engage through their topline while maintaining fluidity. During her initial time at Derby Farms, Brenna successfully got her USDF Bronze medal, training her leased horse from schooling second level to competing at fourth, as well as beginning the show career of an ambitious four year old. Ultimately returning to Derby Farms a couple years later after finishing her degree, Brenna took on the role of assistant trainer managing a schedule up to seven horses anywhere from recently backed through bringing a second level horse up to schooling Prix St. George movements. Also at this time, Brenna took regular lessons with Pam who allowed Brenna to train with her Grand Prix stallion Rodioso. Brenna and Rodioso went on to compete up through Prix St. George together, gaining Brenna her USDF Silver medal and winning multiple awards. Brenna is forever grateful for her all she learned from both Pam and Rodioso, who passed away at the young age of 26 in early 2022, having competed with Brenna the season prior. In addition to her time at Derby Farms, Brenna has clinic’ed with Grand Prix trainer Allyssa Pitts and Paige Ruhl, as well as Olympian Lisa Wilcox, along with others.

Brenna has since returned to Helena, MT with her husband Carson, whom she shares a passion for horses with. Carson and Brenna welcomed their beautiful daughter Aemilia into the world in December of 2022. Brenna has returned to training primarily out of Juniper Hill Stables- a beautiful 150 acre facility outside of Helena, MT with extensive amenities for both riders and horses. Brenna is currently offering training, lessons on clients horses, and competing client's horses. She values correct development of a horse and rider, taking a gentle yet consistent approach.
